How we verify fairs

NEST lists job fairs only — not individual vacancies. Every card must have an official URL we can check.

Verification levels

Gov — Listed on NCS, state employment / e-Rozgar, ministry, or PIB with a durable official page.
NSDC — NSDC Rozgar Mela / JobX / SSC-announced programme pages.
Campus — University, ITI, or polytechnic official placement notice.
Industry — CII, FICCI, ASSOCHAM, or sector chamber official page.
Private-verified — Named organiser + public registration page + evidence of recurrence (or a clear first-edition official page). Flyer-only fails.

Date honesty

Exact dates for upcoming editions only when officially announced.
Exact dates for past 2026 editions when backed by official pages and/or durable news corroboration (e.g. PIB, state portals, organiser site + PTI).
Otherwise “Usually …” or “Not yet announced · Last: …” for recurring hubs.
We never invent dates. Past cards show a Past badge when the start date is before today.

Physical-domain rule

Fairs need not be physical-only. Mixed multi-sector events are OK.
They must include physical-domain jobs (bedside, trades, floor, field, agri/food, hospitality/care, emergency/safety, wet-lab, live-events hardware). Digital-desk-only hiring events are out.

Drop rules

Flyer / WhatsApp-only with no official URL
News article without an organiser page
Digital-desk-only hiring events (software, pure remote knowledge work)
Individual job listings (out of scope for this calendar)

Propose a fair

Send Manoj or Manasi (NEST WhatsApp community admins) the official page URL, city, dates, organiser type, and which physical domains it serves. Soft submissions without an official URL will be declined.
